Black on the outside. Whisky barrel on the inside. The Cygnus pairs matt black brushed tungsten with a genuine oak whisky barrel core, creating a ring that looks sharp from across the room and tells a story up close.

The bevelled edges give it a clean, defined profile. The brushed finish keeps it understated. Flip it over and the warm grain of retired oak cask wood lines the interior, cut from barrels that spent years ageing whisky before finding a second life here. Every ring is different because every piece of wood is.

At 6mm wide, The Cygnus sits closer to the hand than most. Enough presence to be noticed, narrow enough to wear all day without thinking about it.
Scratch-resistant tungsten construction. Comfort fit interior. Built for daily wear.

Equally suited as a men's wedding band or everyday ring, The Cygnus is built for men who want something different on their hand. Strong material, natural core, modern design.

FAQ's

Can I wear this as both a wedding ring and a dress ring?

Absolutely. The brushed tungsten and oak whisky barrel inlay strike a perfect balance between modern style and natural warmth. It’s versatile enough to be your wedding band, yet stylish enough to wear as a statement dress ring too.

Is this ring comfortable to wear every day?

Yes. Our rings are designed with a comfort fit profile, meaning the inside of the band is slightly rounded. This reduces pressure on the finger and makes it easy to wear all day, every day.

Is the wood core waterproof?

The oak whisky barrel core is sealed and protected, but like all natural materials, it’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to water. Occasional contact is fine, but we recommend removing the ring before swimming, showering, or heavy water-based activities to preserve the wood’s character.

How are tungsten rings made?

Tungsten rings are made by combining tungsten powder with carbon to create tungsten carbide, one of the hardest materials used in jewellery. The carbide is pressed, shaped, and sintered at extremely high temperatures, then finished with polishing or inlays such as wood, antler, or meteorite. The result is a durable, heavyweight ring with a smooth, premium feel.

What is the black coating on a tungsten ring?

Black tungsten rings are created by applying a specialised coating, most commonly through processes such as ion plating or chemical vapour deposition (CVD). These methods bond a black layer to the tungsten surface, giving it its distinctive finish. While the tungsten beneath remains extremely durable, the coating itself may show wear over time depending on daily use.
